I not butthurt nor are my jimmies rustled in the least. I say more power to them. To me, they are a Christian light shining in the heathen darkness that is TV.

I am kind of butthurt.

I love the Robertsons and I love seeing them succeed. It's the lowest common denominator of people who buy some of their products that get my jimmies all sorts of rustled. I mean, Si's drink cup and a shirt that says "That's a fact jack" at my closest Chevron gas station? GTFO of here with that shite. I can just imagine the illiterate mouth breathers sitting in their trailer stuffing their mouths with Doritos as I type this. Way to piss me off this early in the day.

This. Lets face it. There show is not main stream of today's shows. Nice to see something that doesn't show families fighting. Very nice the way they end each show too! With the fast times we live in, how many families sit down to dinner together? The problem is that a lot of people just don't want to take the time to do this anymore. I stress this to my family every chance to give thanks together.

And yes, I like there duck calls. Have a few that are 15+ years old.

I just started duck hunting last year. I have a beard. I'm from north LA. I hunt public land.

I've never watched one episode of DD.

Non-hunters being exposed to hunting through DD in a positive light is a good thing for all hunters.

Why?

I wonder if they would retune my old duck calls.

Never watched it, never intend to. From some previews and ccommercials I've seen it all looks highly staged. I HATE the whole "reality" bit though. Guess I'm in the minority. If the public wants "reality" they can follow me aroumd with a camera crew. They can all watch me get up every day at five o clock and go out into the world to feed my family THAT'S reality.

This. DD is 10x better than the house wife shows or any other reality my wife watches.

Ship it to me, I can tune it.

I have no hard feelings towards the robinsons, but the trendy hunters that they brought about can all go back where they came from.

Not happening until the State's tax credits associated w/film production cost change. Absent those credits, there probably is no Duck Dynasty, Swamp People, etal.

Just need some reeds to tune them. What is best to make some reeds? I tried a few different plastics that didn't work out to good.

Never duck hunted
Never painted my face for anything
And don't own one piece of their merchandise

I tried to watch an episode the other night but when one "lost his ring" in the marsh and then magically found it in his pocket: I am forever done with that stupid arse show. It's going to end up sucking 10 times more in 2 more seasons

Gortex and neoprene are the main two reasons for this. Ban these two things and watch the crowds thin out. Make everybody hunt in leaky arse canvas waders and some Walls overalls. And some old cotton arse gloves. Then you'll see the real hunters.

Agreed. We made it too easy for jackasses and pussies to hunt.

My only complaint, is that even some of the older guys I hunt with, who you have to listen to, have started doing the face paint and get on to you if you don't.

These are the same older guys who just a few years ago would say all you need is a good hat, stand in a shadow, and keep your face down.
