But now they are gonna put public "I know the previous owner lied." Nah, not my way of doing things...
I'm fairly confident Bleeding had no intention of outing you.

So the AKC American Water Spaniel I picked up in Jan through a contact on this board appears to have been beaten
First sentence.

I don't know what the big deal is. The dog seems like it isn't gonna learn shite and you knew it as well as the original owner knew it. Now Bleeding Purple knows it.
The real issue is finding some new sucker to pawn off the "skunk dog with a ton of promise"...
In all seriousness, what I'm saying is we need to find it a good home where it can be a pet and not a tool since that boat seems to have sailed.

I appreciate the notification. We have already arranged to retrieve the dog. We had the chipped info changed but there was a clerical error and they did not change the telephone #. That has been remedied.
As far as my previous statements:
When I spoke to you on the phone prior to picking him up you indicated he was a well tempered dog that got along well with others. You indicated you had picked him up from his first owner because they wanted a pet and he was too active for their small yard and relaxed setting. You felt he potentially had the ability to be a duck dog but would need more training that you could not afford due to a baby on the way. You stated you simply could not have another dog at this time.
After picking up the dog we quickly discovered he was aggressive toward our other dog and liked to dig. In the process of getting information, I spoke with breeder in IOWA who received an email from you prior to me ever picking the dog up that you were in fact requesting an additional dog as Winston/Beaux was too much for you to handle, was aggressive with your other dogs, and was eating up your fence and digging out of your yard. I thought maybe the email was from the initial owner but the breeder assured me it was from you and that you indicated in the email that Winston/Beaux was going to a home in Athens. A fact that you and not the previous owner would know.
The stories don't match and one of them was your word. I call that lying. You call it what you will.

Also, gun shy can be cured. I always heard you couldn't, but I've seen it with my own eyes. My buddy had a lab that didn't like gun shots. He tied him to the blind so it couldn't run off (because he did during teal season). After every hunt he would throw a couple of birds and let him go retrieve without shots.
He was cured after about a dozen hunts... he had no choice, really. My stubborned friend kept bringing him.

And yes I intended to out him just as I would expect someone to do to me if tables were turned.
His other previous posts not related to this dog were all trying to set up a hydrodipping for you guys to patronize.
All I am saying is be warned.

I absolutely know he had no intentions of outing me. But I also am not ashamed to come out and say I had the dog as I have nothing to hide. I wanted to keep the dog and work him through whatever life he had before I just could not with the baby on the way and financially. He did have lots of potential he wouldn't even sit (without treats) or walk on a leash when i first got him. I worked him through that. I was also doing 30-40 yard retrieves in an unknown lake to him the day after i got him. which is on YouTube. Its just funny is all, they have problems with him then get rid of him if he wont work for you, don't put on a post the previous owner beat him....i was given a brand new shock collar with him and it is still in the box, i don't believe in shock collars or beating, my police k9 was trained that way, but after i got him he never wore a shock collar again...
