After searching this board, I've also noticed the caliber isn't discussed very often. It's typically, "hey I want an AR" or "gonna build an AR" followed by what Manuf to go with for uppers and what not.

When people say AR, they are talking about .223 99.9% of the time

I went with. 223/5.56 that way i can shoot either. Looking at maybe building a. 308 next or another 5.56.

Armalite has a .260
An AR10 can be chambered in anything that uses a .308 parent case since the bolt is the same size. All you need to do is change the barrel.
.243
7mm-08
.260
.308
etc.

Gauging interest on something. I'm inquiring about advertising on TD.com and was looking to see how interested you guys were with this. I'm working with a laser engraving business out of NE Mississippi and this is the type of work he does with firearms
The bread and butter is custom dust covers but as you can see, slides and mags work well.
Note: this is laser engraved so it absolutely does not rub off. I won't post any pricing or contact info because I figure that's pretty disrespectful to anyone who might already advertise and sell with TD.com. But let me know what you guys think.

Interest will be an inverse relationship to cost.
How much does it cost?

I don't want to piss off the admins and current advertisers so I'll just say that the price is less than every engraver that we've ever come across. I'd say a good 10 to 20 percent cheaper.

For those that are going to build their own upper, don't put the flash suppressor/muzzle brake inside the rail. It will end up like this:

Considering it's $100-$150 just for the mags, it's a hell of a deal. They had the same thing for $149.99 for a 4th of July sale, but $169 is still a GREAT deal

Check this Black Guns for AR15 parts.

You do realize that I posted that on m4carbine.net?

Problem I am having on building one is so many different websites, So many different parts and prices (some grouped with extras items, some not), and some sold out, and some worth the wait on the special deals that come up from time to time. Decisions decisions. Al lin all the Ar will shoot the same as any other that I would buy.
I just need to go ahead and pick one and go

Yea that is mine, I can link you the thread. I had it on the gun to test fire it. The rail was going on my 16" BCM, but I had just finished the 11.5" and wanted to shoot it to make sure it functioned and thought it would be ok for a couple hundred rounds, and this was the end result after around 200 rounds.
My rail blew up/Read thru for AWESOME customer service
