I have been looking and researching and shopping for a year for a new generator. I wanted one to run our camper and the fridge and freezer in the house in case of storm. light enough to be able to take camping and run on gas or propane after an exhaustive search checking every where on line this is the best deal I could find. generator

Got the generator for $412 total delivered at the house with a 4 year warranty. 4k is plenty for me our lil camper dont draw half that and it should work for me. Weighing in at 90 lbs I can chuck it in the suv or rig it to the camper tounge and go with it.

Doesn't say the make of the motor just the specs and with a 4 year warrenty I aint really worried. I almost went with the 7.5K but too big to tote around and too much a gas hog. This is all I should need

Looks like a Wen clone (Wen being a cheaper CPE). The electrical stuff is sometimes a little suspect but parts are cheap and those engines don't seem to care about anything as long as there is oil in them and the fuel is somewhat fresh. Will be far less tempermental than a Honda or Yamaha at least.

When it shows up I plan to gas it up fire it up load it up and change the oil when it stops I will let yall know and post my findings Right now with the warranty and walmart I am feeling pretty flame proof but I do want it to work.

No no no

Change the oil first

Chinese engines ship with a preservative oil most of the time

My Chinese wood splitter motor is almost 20 years old now

Change oil and buy a NGK plug.

They'll run a long time

I installed an hour meter on my CPE generator and a better fuel shut-off petcock. I run mine dry before storage and have never had a problem when it came time to using it. I also double dose whatever fuel I put in it with Sta-Bil 360.

Sta-bil is a must and small engines with infrequent use.

It’s not all about the weight, it’s the size/ weight together. With the support bar that’s going to be pretty tough to chuck around. It’s also rather large. 69 decibels is not terrible but not great for noise level.

And it specifically states that that is at no-load, so...gonna be louder.

Do yourself a favor and never run gasoline in it. Carb will stay clean.

That engine looks like a Subaru, or a copy of one.

non ethanol gas is a must for anything you don't run often. That stuff aughta have an expiration date like a gallon of milk. I aint a chemist but alcohol is a hydrogen leach. Thats what causes a hang over. water bonds with alcohol and that's the problem specially in our humidity
