0 for me but I’m on the couch. Ran around our lease in north Delacroix yesterday and saw 3. Hoping the PALH mafia push them north this weekend and we get another push by next weekend.

I went look at our blinds yesterday. Didn’t like what I saw and slept in this morning. Couple kids at the camp this morning and I don’t think they fired a shot.

Got a couple snaps from my buddy this morning in PALH. One around sunrise with feathers falling and hooping and hollering, another around 0830 back at the camp with limits….don’t know how many they’re going to push compared to what they’re knocking down, but birds are there.

That’s great news for us. We have almost 4500 acres just north of PALH with no more than 3-4 groups hunting at a time. Pressure down there usually pushes birds up to us

My dad and 2 of his buddies had their 18 in the marshes of Holly Beach.
Done before 8.
Teal szn is always a later flight for them. They have to wait for the rice fields to get blown out.

Opening day in SETX. Slowest opening of teal I’ve seen in last 4 years. 16 birds for 4 men and gave up around 9:00.

Ended up with 5. Had a few more opportunities but failed because sun was in my eyes and there was so many big ducks flying. Kids by me are in for a rough morning, they did great! They had mallards, wigeon, greys, woodies and teal. All floating out too deep for them to retrieve and guess who was on the cap rock watching the entire hunt go down? I came out and he just said you aren’t who I’m looking for and asked if they were still back there.

ETA saw more wigeon than all the others combined. Looks like it’s going to be a good year for them over here.

Yep Winnie/ Anahuac area of SE TX was super hit or miss. Some did ok, some had some real duds. Heard it was sketchy like that over in El Campo area as well. Positive sign is most of the birds are all males so the bulk of the flight hasn’t made it yet.

Work day at the camp in Venice yesterday. Fished for a couple hours around pass a loutre area. Saw 1 teal in areas that would have had a few hundred in years past. Heard 0 shots around camp this morning. Talked to multiple duck boats at landing around 9am that hunted Baptiste. More hunters than teal.
