Anyone use a Henry .22 lr lever action or pump ? Wife keeps bugging me for an anniversary present and I don't have a .22 but need some was thinking of getting one. Probably get a Ruger later on but always wanted a Henry. Anyone prefer the pump ? I grew up duck hunting so I have no problem with a pump.

I have the lever action and i like it. Although not the input you asked for, I’d trade it for another Ruger 10/22 in a minute. That being said I do enjoy shooting it time to time.

I'll take any input lol. Plan on getting the Ruger one day just don't have much of a need for it now. Just want something fun for target practice and could use for hunting. Ammo cost to much to be shooting 5.56 at the range all day

i have a .22 golden boy. it is so accurate. i was hitting 2-3" steel from 100 yards consistently once i figured its drop. really dun to shoot. Just different then a 10/22. i do want a 10/22 charger though.

I squirrel and rabbit hunt with both. My 10/22 is my go to squirrel killer. You’ll be very happy with the Henry. Great present for sure. Congrats BTW

If you're going to leave it open sights, the basic ol Henry lever action is about as fun as guns get. Not as accurate as a built up 10/22, but wayyyyyyy cooler.

Dad bought me one when I was 10. Still one of my favorite guns to date. I can neuter a gnat with that thing

I am a Henry fan and have many. I have the Golden boy, the regular .22 lever, and the pump. I love them all but the pump is a lot of fun to plink with. At the camp we have l competitions and everyone loves to use the pump. It's like the old carnival .22 pump.

All Henry's are well made, American, and guaranteed for life. Can't miss.

I'm in the market for a semi-auto 22. Curious how the M&P 15-22 compares to what has been mentioned here. And if the performance center version of the 15-22 is comparable to the basic 10/22.

I remember my dad having a Nylon22 when I was a kid. What a fun gun that was. Still sad he lost it during Rita.

I have the .22 Henry open sight. Great gun. My son has got the knack for it and my daughter loves to crank off a few rounds with it.

Have both a 10/22 and a 15/22

Both are great little guns and a lot of fun but the 10/22 has also been completely rebuilt

Unfortunately my 15/22 isn’t threaded and my 10/22 is so the 10/22 or Ruger precision (bolt action) are normally grabbed 1st.

I bought two Brownells brn 22 receivers but haven’t done anything with them yet.

Good choice. I have a Golden Boy .22 and, like others said, it’s just a fun gun to shoot. I was in the mood for a “cowboy” rifle and I ended up liking it more than any other gun I’ve shot.

I have had a couple 10/22 for many many years. Always wanted a Henry. While back came across just the default h001 Henry lever brand new still in the plastic in the box for $5. Yes 5 American dollars. Of course bought it. If I am going squirrel hunting I grab the 10/22 but for anything else I am doing I always grab the Henry. It’s pretty much always with me unless I’m doing something with a different gun. Stays in the truck boat etc all the time and is my absolute favorite gun to shoot

I have the Henry Golden Boy and a Henry pump, both in .22. Both fun shooters. The pump is a lot of fun and really easy to use. Why not both?
