I have the Burris Fullfield IV 4-16x50mm on my 6.5 and I love it. Great scope, especially for the price point. The one I have is specifically made for a 6.5 with the markings on the reticles.

I would not hesitate to go with the Huron. I believe it’s the same scope minus illumination.
I have a Huron on one deer rifle and a Razor HD on the other. They're both noticeably better than my Philippines made Vortex Viper, which is a perfectly good scope for what I paid but it was a $300 scope, not a $500 scope. The difference between the Razor and the Huron, to my eyes, is non-existent. And I know the Trijicon is bullet proof and will hold zero.

Trijicon should always be an option because of this. They have a scope for most budgets and uses nowadays and are one of the few companies who focuses on reliability.
That vortex warranty is great and all but it isn't going to help you when you have to send the scope back mid season because you missed the buck of a lifetime because your rifle fell out the truck once.

Seriously. Don't scrimp on optics. You'll regret it. Go with a Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x40mm Riflescope with Boone and Crockett reticule. It has the hold over points for longer distances. It's $693 on Amazon. So spend the extra $200 and enjoy the 14.5 - 14 magnification and lifetime quality of the Leupold.
I love the classic OB response
Poster: I’m looking for X product at Y price
OB response: You need to spend Y + 50-200%

I've never had to use it but I've never owned their cheaper lines either. The Viper is probably 10 years old and was made in the Philippines, the Razor by LOW in Japan.

I wouldn’t touch a vortex product outside of their razor line if you gave it to me.
I'm curious w/ happened to sour you on Vortex, other than the Razor?

I have a vortex with adjustable turrets.
It was had to beat on sale at cabelas. Nice scope for the money.

When I first got into hunting i went with cheaper scopes like Tasco and Simmons. When i upgraded to better quality optics my hunting improved. I had an old friend tell me you can buy a cheap rifle and add a top notch scope easier than buying a high end rifle with a cheap scope.

In that price range it’s hard to beat Burris or Arken. I own an Arken and it’s been nails.

Don’t sleep on Arken. I have Vortex, Sigs, and others but recently got an Arken and I am impressed.

There's a reason why so many people say great things about Vortex warranty...Leupold has the best warranty that you'll never need.

Get a 40mm scope. No need for larger.

Both of these would be very good options. The Swarovskt is over $500, but is a great, versatile scope. I have 4 of them and am tempted to grab that one even though I don’t need it.
