What are some different places to list the boat?

Tried Facebook marketplace, the end of the road, Louisiana Sportsman and no hits from any. Louisiana Sportsman is just full of spam nowadays.
I was looking at The Boat Yard in Marrero, anyone dealt with them any?

Lower your price.

I had an absurd amount of knuckleheads come kick my tires from FB marketplace. I finally found a buyer there though.

Not saying they are but The Boat Yard just seems shady.

They sold one for me a year or so ago. They usually charge 10%. Worth it for me because with all the scams out there, you can’t trust a check. They also offer financing and a “warranty” for motors up to 20 years old.

I used them to sell a boat, no issues.

ETA: Also heard positives on DaVinci Motor Group.

Tell us what you are selling and the price so you can get feedback on if it’s a fair price. Generally speaking if it’s priced right you should be able to sell on marketplace.

I sold mine through FB. Just have to ignore lowballs and be patient. I had a guy drive down from Arkansas and pay me my asking price on it.

Didn’t want to post price and stuff because I didn’t want chicken to ban me for classifieds.

Bass Boat Central - BBCBoards dot net, has a very popular Boats4Sale section.

Sold my bay boat through the Boat Yard. Never heard anything about charging 10% though. He said they will make money on the financing and selling extended warranty.

If you’re not selling a boat on Marketplace then your price is too high

This. If you aren’t getting tire kickers then it’s way too high.

If you tell us make and model you may get better input of where to advertise sale. I imagine most boats these days are sold through Facebook or a website that is more or less dedicated to that style boat.

Post make, model and motor and we will suggest a price. That’s not posting a classified ad
