Surrounded by his daughters from his first stint.

He’s been on vacation for 2 years at another ranch. Just swapped back.

Wow doesn’t seem like that long ago when you got him. Those are his daughters?

Fine animals!

Saw an old western movie a couple weeks ago, "Last Train From Gun Hill". The set for one of the homes had some longhorn furniture and noticed they had swirled stripes in some of the horns.

Could be an interesting addition to the breeding to try to add that to spotted coats???

Can't really see it too well from this angle, some shots it really stands out:

Yes, the closest 3 or 4 young ones next to him in the pic are his progeny.

A lot of them have swirls in the horns, just harder to see on “live” horns. The ones that stand out like in that movie have been heavily polished.

From that angle, it looks like a farked Euro mount. Beautiful bull.

Is the breeding done on halves?
Why not collect and ship?
Cool bull you have there with Gumdrops, how gentle is he?

Looking forward to his answer. I'd hope they have a good temperament for obvious reasons.

He is very docile as any breeder bull should be. However, if they’re left alone and only see people once or twice a year any cow or bull can get pretty rank.

Ours are checked daily so they are very used to humans.

I just swapped him for another breeder’s bull I know. We both got new genetics at no additional cost.

Longhorn semen is available by plenty of other bulls that are as good or better. It’s not worth fooling with in my opinion. You gotta store it, pay for it up front, market it, etc.

This is just a hobby for us.

Wow! What a family.

Docile or not, I don't think I'd walk into a pasture with him in it. I once saw the damage my brother-in-law's bull (not longhorn) did to his pickup truck.
