Quite frankly, good. Kamala would have been worse, but these frickers took a borderline mandate and have been just disasters.

NFA isn’t going to cost republicans the midterms. The amount of people that care about the NFA is minimal. There are 7.5 million registered NFA weapons. Of those many people like myself own multiple. It’s a big issue to many gun owners but the democrats didn’t even mention it in their rebuke of the bill.

Nah, Powell is gone Jan 2026 & interest rates will drop a Pernt driving a house buying spree. Inflation is @2.1%, unemployment 4.1% & deportations will continue to climb.
This is what we voted for Baw

I wonder if we'll see some pricing discounts soon. If everyone is planning on waiting 6 months to buy, suppressor manufacturers have to do something to keep supply moving between now and then.

So what changed to today. Very brief like I'm intellectually 5 years old. Because I'm not much more than that anyway

the bill passed and is sent to Trump for signature

you will still have to jump through all the registration hoops but no longer have to pay $200 for a tax stamp to buy a silencer

Much appreciated. I see by simply reading up that it's not into effect until 2026

Suppressors, short barreled rifles/shotguns, and any other weapons fall under the new $0 tax/registration requirements.

Quite a few sites have had “free tax stamp” deals for a few weeks now.

I don’t know anything about SBRs

To do this do you have to engrave it? What’s that all about?

No they just register a gun you already own and designate it a short barreled rifle even though it was a pistol before in some cases or a rifle. Gotta love the atf can’t make your pistols too long or your rifles too short dumbest rules ever devised.

if you purchase an SBR (barrel less than 16" with a stock) from a gun store, which would be rare, you would fill out a "Form 4" with the ATF.

if you purchase a Pistol (barrel less than 16" with no stock) from a gun store, you fill out a 4473. walk out of store same day with firearm.

if you build an SBR, either from a recently purchased pistol or via individual parts, you fill out a "Form 1" with the ATF.
