Leave your truck at camp and get an old civic for the commute.

$100-150 bucks in gas is enough to keep someone from a weekend of hunting?

Just the folks that already spend $4k per year on lease dues, overpriced hunting ammo, food plots, licenses, etc.

So pretty much everyone.

Ive got a long weekend planned about six hours away. We can take my nice car and pay out the a$$ for gas (gets terrible mileage) or her company car and let them pay.

A year ago I would've said f*** it and take my car. Not any more.

I was gonna make a 2 day scout trip today & tomorr, 5 hrs each morning . Not open yet there. But better to go Nov 2 or 3, and just stay a week or 2 . Opens on 6th.

Open season & good temps it wouldn't stop me but 87 highs and closed season, ah ...

So if you get 15 MPG you would use 26.67 gallons, compared to gas at $2.00 /gallon your trip will cost $32 more, hardly enough for me to change anything...

13 mpg --- 525 miles

525 / 13 = 40.38

$ 3.20 x 40 = $ 128

now, if i were hunting, the weather & moon right, yeah.

But right now just scouting, learning some new territory. 87 deg by 12 noon. Naw, not rgt now.

My place is 300 yds away. It’s crazy how driving a long way from home actually makes it more fun.
