$49
Attach a trailer tongue to this and you have a tailgate extender for long objects and a 4 wheeler tiedown .

When you're driving 100 mph to save gas, they work about the same.

I'm thinking meaux uses lots of tie wire and duct tape.

This - tractor supply had them on sale cost just a little more than my back glass the first time it busted out.

I have a combo seat cushion with two Velcro straps that hangs off the rack and hangs between the rack and the glass

I welded a piece of angle iron to my truck bed about 12" from the back glass. Then I bolted a piece of 2"x8" wood to the angle iron.
My front tires rest up against the 2"x8" with a little room between the atv and my back glass. I can't close the tailgate but I have it strapped down front to back and back to front.

Small world, the guy that invented that guard dog 4 wheeler hitch thingy is from Shreveport. His wife and I park next to each other. We don't work together, but she started talking to me after she saw my 4 wheeler in my truck one day and told me her husband invented it.
That'd be kind of random to lie about. I believe her.
True. Good fella.

Like someone said earlier, use some wheel chocks. I use a couple of bricks.
Posted on 11/30/16 at 9:23 pm to lsu1987
My winch fairlead sticks out farther than my tires so I use two 4x4 blocks cut about 16 inches tall screwed to a 2x4 to keep them the correct distance apart. Kind of like this |__| That way the tires bump against them but not the fairlead.

Found an old raggedy arse tire in the cane field. It sat perfect between the bike and the cab.
I tried the brick/chock deal prior and lost a back glass. I don't know how, but I did.

I know one thing, screw just straps. They will stretch. Last year coming back from a duck hunt with my daughter and SIL with their 4 wheeler, one good bump, BAM. Scared the living crap out of us. Blew out the back window that I had just replaced a month before.
Insurance company was not happy.
Chains and turnbuckles are the way to go. Easy to rig them up. Tractor supply has all one needs to put them together.
