What is the best thing to put in between the front of the four wheeler and the back of the truck to keep it from hitting the back glass.

Also how do y'all usually strap yours down?

I have a tool box but I just butt mine up to it, and put it in reverse. Most the time it'll ride like that. If I'm going long distances or rough roads I'll hook a ratchet strap from the rear rack to a front tie ring in the front

A short bed on fortunately apparently getting a full size bed on a Ford or GMC is like getting a white unicorn you have to order the son of a b******

I've got it strapped across the back in the front so hopefully it'll ride got a 4 hour trip to go.

My neighbor has a Guard Dog that attaches to his hitch. I was checking it out last weekend.

I stop short of it (2" or so) and put 4 crossing straps on it. Lock the brakes and leave it in gear

From low back to high front and from low front to high back.

That four wheeler isn't moving

Just put it on top. Be warned though make sure to strap it good. Learned that lesson the hard way taking a turn too sharp.

I felt like such a DA for forgetting the straps.

another note is to keep the weight off the tailgate

2x12s run the entire length of bed and tailgate to disperse the weight.

I wouldn't trust a cable to hold all that weight going over bumps

buddy of mine lost his in PA. but he drives retarded

Use thick straps to strap the front rack to the back bed hooks, and the back rack to the front hooks

I have a 12" or 15" deep toolbox. My bike cant fit with the tailgate up without the toolbox anyway, so i bump up to the toolbox, then one strap on each side from the back rack of the bike to the front bed hooks of the truck, then one strap around the back of the rear bike tires, and one strap through the ramps. Its a pain in the arse, but until i buy a trailer, it will have to do.

If your bike fits with the tailgate up, i suggest getting one of those things that fit on the truck hitch to the bike hitch. Much less pain in the arse.

Eta: LA Guarddog

And my bike barely sits on the inner edge of the tailgate, so it puts very little to no weight on the tailgate cables.

I use a spare tire or waders, but I'm going to put something to protect the back glass. Then I independently strap all four corners. The law only requires 2 straps, but I use 4.

Used an old bow target the other day and cross strapped it. You won't save anything by not using 4 straps. I learned that lesson. Dodged a deer and loosened the one strap across the back. Next thing I know I am towing the bike by a strap instead of hauling it in the back.

Small world, the guy that invented that guard dog 4 wheeler hitch thingy is from Shreveport. His wife and I park next to each other. We don't work together, but she started talking to me after she saw my 4 wheeler in my truck one day and told me her husband invented it.

That'd be kind of random to lie about. I believe her.
