Ford 6.7 baws: how do I tell if my DEF is deleted?

Recently bought a 2016 350. The dealer I bought it from didn't know.
I've put about 2000 miles on it and no dash lights are yelling at me yet.
Thanks for any input.

Is there a giant spaceship on your exhaust system? If not, it's deleted.
ETA: DPF looks like this

Well that's simple enough. Thanks.

Is your DEF fluid level falling?

Do you have a tuner? Most everyone tunes it when they delete it

Come again?

I assume you would have a tuner on the dash somewhere that Ford didn’t put there. If it’s a newer truck your truck should go about 4K-5k miles before it sends you a message stating it’s getting low

What this guy said. It should be very apparent from a quick glance at the exhaust system.
If that's your cup of tea, any mechanic will be able to quickly tell.
Depending on how you drive the truck, it can take a long time for the DEF needle to move.

How many baws are deleting these diesels now? I’ve always figured you’d get in some shite for it when it’s rolling coal going down the street.

Folks have been simply leaving parts in and hollowing them out to look stock.

“didn’t know.” This means it’s deleted.

I’m a bit out of the loop as I haven’t paid attention in a few years but I don’t think as many are doing it now since it’s harder to get the tuners with the EPA crackdown.
I deleted mine many years ago after my DEF sending unit went out, it was like $1000 for the parts to repair and have it happen again later on or $1200 for the delete. Mine doesn’t really smoke unless I really get on it hard and I try my best not to do so.

Should have a gauge showing the level. Google pics of it, look and see if the tank is there. They will go 5-7K miles on a tank of DEF if you aren't towing.
Look in the exhaust tips, are they dirty and black?

Plenty still are. It has only slowed down because the average guy is worried about getting a fine. There are a few 2020+ we run with that have deletes.

I'll crawl under it this morning and give it a look. I do not have any aftermarket gauges on the dash and do not have a DEF gauge on my home screen.

I don't think they can legally sell you that truck deleted and if they did you have them right where you want em.

Had a buddy bought a 6.4 that was deleted, windowed the block. Long story short the dealer had to eat the cost of a long block and putting all the emissions back on.

Well I didn't ask him specifically if it had been deleted. Just if any "aftermarket" work had been done.
