i have a chevy crew cab and a f150 4x4
the chevy gets the drive 99.9% of the time. much more comfortable seats, much better ride, like riding on air.. while the ford rides more rough feeling and just isnt as comfortable.. with that said, no probs with either mechanically. nothing bad to say there

The bottom side of the bumper (you can't see it in that pic) has the big fab fours laser cut into it. Plenty of air.
Everything red in the pic below is cut out of the bumper

I love both the new GMC and the Chevy. I will always drive them over a Ford, every GM car my family has had has always outlasted our ford/yota's

The non-projector headlights make the truck look like it has down syndrome at night.
I am SO glad most trucks have finally caught up with the technology. Regardless if the headlights are halogen projectors or true HID projectors, they are still 1000 times better than outdated reflector headlights.
Here's my take on the GM vs Ford:
Trucks: Edge goes to Ford on the newer stuff
The GM trucks from about 1999-2006 are still EVERYWHERE. They have insane longevity. My dad drove an 02 Chevy Avalanche (first one sold in Louisiana) for over 150k miles. He had not a single problem with it. He was even still driving on the factory brake pads.
But for some reason, the newer GM trucks are notorious for having lifter issues and burning too much oil. My brother had to add 4 quarts in his truck to have the oil level touch the dipstick. Yes, I said 4. This problem isn't extremely prevalent, but a bit more common than it should be.
The newer Fords, minus the Ecoboost intercooler issues (I think that's the troublemaker), have the GM trucks beat in technology. They have HID headlights, more intuitive cameras (front camera on the Raptors too), and better connectivity. Oh, and I forgot to mention...
GM!!!! Get your heads out of your asses and make some competition for the SVT Raptor!! That thing is owning the market right now and handing your own arse to you!
Sports Cars: GM takes it.
Besides the Ford GT (which is an amazing car) the Corvette has never had true competition from Ford. Ford has always had the Mustang, but you can only do so much with a live rear axle going up against a ZR1 Vette that can beat cars 4x its price.
GM also has a luxury sports sedan in the Cadillac CTSv, which is essentially a 4-door Z06 (slightly de-tuned ZR1 motor). Nowhere else can you get over 500 horsepower, rear wheel drive, a 6 speed manual, and a magnetic suspension that is soft on the road and hard on the track. I hope this to be my future car, as many of you have been able to tell by my avatar.
Alright, now I'll give y'all some time to digest that...

This. You can't tear up a 99-02 chevy z71. I had one and put it through pure hell in HS and it never went in the shop. Lots of drunk mud riding in that truck

Those chrome door handles on the dark colored GMC's look like they came straight from the Pep Boys "stick-on-trim" section.

I never hear of Chevys with huge major fatal common issues. I hear about it all the time with fords.
The 6.0 and 6.4 PSDs are enough to make me
ford.

+1. The current model, IMO, was the ugliest truck, ever.

Have not heard of the oil issue, though...

I had the same truck with the same experience. Tore that truck up over the years, ended up selling it with 200k miles still running good. I had to replace the AC condensor and fuel pump.

That's why that chrome crap doesn't belong on there.

I guess it is what you like I think the Dodge front end is hideously ugly, Ford Ok.
Posted on 6/6/13 at 9:58 am to BIG Texan
The great thing about an ugly front end is, the owner almost never has to see it.
Posted on 6/6/13 at 10:52 am to AlxTgr
I like everything but the front end on the 2014

I have a 2008 Sierra and the interior is the worst I've ever seen in a truck.
