Would you go....I'm not talking name brand, I'm talking functionality

1.Hand controlled

2.Foot

3.remotre control(aquos caymen 24v)

4.Ipilot gps

I mean it seems gps is the best but whats say the anglers who have all of them. I've heard a guy say he rather the hand controlled one?....

3 and 4 are the same thing.

I have an ipilot. Won’t be going back.

Ipilot with a foot control

Its the biggest advancement in fishing tech since GPS. I have absolutely caught more fish with it than I would have without it, and you can't honestly say that about much.

If you use a bird as your GPS/fishfinder get the Ipilot link.

When I upgrade, I’m going ipilot with foot control. I’m not telling my wife either. It’ll just show up!

i meant to say a remote control trolling motor like an aquos caymen 24v 80lb 54in tm.....it has remote but not gps....according to their website they only has a gps one for a 12v...so I guess thats what I meant

Was talking with a friend who fishes a lot and got to talking about GPS trolling motors.

I think he said his was a Minn Kota. He was surprised to hear that my Ghost foot pedal moves like a regular foot pedal - he said that was the only thing he hated about his. He said his motor steers when pressure is applied to the pedal, but the pedal doesn't actually move.

I'm not sure why that's a big deal - maybe the "muscle memory like we all developed with the older cable-steering units. He is seriously thinking about selling the one he has and replacing it with a Ghost (money isn't a big deal with him).

I have a Terrova Ipilot with GPS and am contemplating adding the foot control. The remote is nice but there are definitely situations where the foot pedal would come in handy.

Whatever make he has (I don't recall if he said Minn Kota or Motor Guide) and my Ghost both have a remote control accessory.

The Ghost the remote lets me "anchor" (Lowrance term for spot-lock), change speeds and steer. I'm guess these are standard functions on other brands.

Again - his has a foot pedal, but it doesn't pivot/move like a conventional foot pedal.

Get it. If nothing else, it gives you a backup hardwired control when your drunk friend goes overboard with your remote in his pocket.

I have had a trip fricked up by a broken remote once. No replacement for hardwired IMO
