Planted 2 plot’s yesterday in NWFL. About an acre total. First rain we’ve had since September. Not going to plant the rest this year. Planning to burn late winter and re assess

There’s a home weather station in Centreville

Please show me how to access that. I can only access historic at Baton Rouge Airport.

I realize everyone's excited about the rain we've seen but it didn't even move the needle on the drought monitor!

No one here expected a 1” rain to change that map considering we are in an “exceptional drought” but it is enough to germinate seed for hopeful rains to follow

Yea we think that the grass is growing was dormant rye grass seeds. Either way, the rain we got earlier this week and the front forecasted to come through Monday is perfect timing

The fact that I planted so late may still present problems.... but everything is off to a great start after planting just before rain. The cereal rye is at least 2" tall and the daikon radishes have 2 leaves. Not sure about the clover, but it's always a little slow to start.

I have one small plot that I can't get a tractor to and I simply broadcast turnip seeds onto unturned dirt and it's off to a strong start too.

Well it’s a nice surprise, but my food plot is off to the races.

Everything popped after that rain earlier in the week and I had deer eating on it by Friday

I was surprised at how good my plots looked with only .4" of rain a couple weeks ago. Hunted one of them Saturday and the does were piling in to eat.

And now it is coming a great rain!!!!
