Fishing from a pontoon boat is affecting my numbers

I used to fish from a 16'aluminum boat but due to kids and the need for more room. I purchased a 20' pontoon boat a few years ago.
99% of our fishing is done in the Tickfaw river area.
The problem is that, even when we're anchored it seems like I'm constantly adjusting the anchor due to wind blowing us all over. I used to like to fish the little small shallow canals and I can't do that any longer.
Too busy messing with the boat and not fishing. I'm seriously thinking about getting another flat bottom boat.
Anyone else here fish out of a pontoon boat?

I wouldn’t fish from a pontoon boat for those reasons above. That seems like a pain in the butt.

Only thing I'd do on a pontoon boat is drink beers.

I pilot may have a hard time keeping it in place. I’d buy a big flat boat.

We fish until the weekend warriors hit the water then we put the poles away and join in on the party

always wondered if the fishing was any good in that area. What’s the story? Bass? Sac-a-lait? Bream? I know there’s catfish.

Bass?
Pretty decent

Sac-a-lait?
Very hard to find where they're at

Bream?
Pretty plentiful but not much size on most

You didn't have same issues with your jb?
I have same issues with my jb and my canoe.
Getting back into a smaller boat won't eliminate wind blowing you off the angle you want to be.
Short answer is a small stern anchor.

How many anchors you got? We have a front and rear anchor on our pontoon.

Yeah - 2 anchors minimum or sub an anchor pole in the mud for one anchor.

Big danforth anchor for the front and small mushroom anchor for the rear
Also have a 6' metal rod anchor for when we are fishing really shallow

its not about you any more, its about a bunch of noisy kids stomping around and scary any fish away. all that you can do is use 2 anchors when fishing and anchor on current breaks or draining cuts and use meat to fish, no artificial baits. when the kids are older take them out in a jon boat to show them how to fish for real

Saw a guy years ago trolling the trestles with radio blaring and BBQ going. We laughed but who knows maybe we were on the wrong end of that equation.

Dual power poles is the answer. 1 on each pontoon.
But like mentioned above the problem is most likely all the noise.
