Fish ID?

In the FL Keys. Caught this fish earlier today and can't figure out what the hell it is. Kind of looks like some sort of variety of Angel Fish or Trigger Fish. But I can't pin it down. Any ideas?

looks like a cousin to sheep head based on the teath.

I don’t have the answer but looks interesting.

Not sure if you kept him or not. If you are doing catch and release a dry towel isn’t good for the fish’s protective slime. Much better to handle them with wet hands if possible

Looks to be in the tang family judging by the barb by the tail and the dorsal fun. No idea FL had anything like that

Yeah I think it's this variety: Doctorfish Tang (Acanthurus chirurgus)

If it’s a surgeonfish you want to watch those “fins” on the sides just in front of the tail. Small and rigid and sharp as a scalpel.... Which is why they call them surgeon fish...
