Here's your Facebook rant of the day:

Ordered a Kobalt combo kit that was supposed to have a weed eater, blower, and a battery w/ charger. Picked it up from the store, got it home, and when I opened it up SURPRISE. Some low life piece of shite had already bought it, stolen the battery out of the kit, and returned it. And now I have to wait until they come back in stock to get a swap.

F Lowe's for not doing QC on their returns, and this thief for being such a poor that he had to steal a battery.

Was that the 80V or 40V unit? I have an 80 and it is a serious piece of blower and weedeater.

I once bought some magnalite cookware from SAMS. Got it home and someone had replaced the good stuff with old rusty pots and pans.

I took it back and said, "I don't know if you are going to believe this or not..."

Lady in customer service said, "Happens all the time. Go get another one and check it before you leave."

Then, just last year I ordered a depth finder from BPS shipped to store. I go to pick it up and start opening the box on the customer service counter. Sure enough, everything is there but the actual unit.

As Vern Gosdin would say... "This ain't my first rodeo."

80V. When I was reading reviews everyone was saying the same thing as you so it sold me.

MOFO's do that with the big lightbulbs in the box too. Most aggravating shite ever.

Similar thing happened to me at Home Depot last week. Bought a pair of fans for the new deck. Only two in stock and one box was opened. I checked through it. Fan, switch, mounts, all looked like it was there. Electrician was installing it and noticed it was missing a pin and didn’t work. I mean if it was returned wouldn’t you at least look through it before putting it back out on the floor? I swapped it out once they had more in stock but it’s a pain dealing with customer service lines these days.

I love my 80v Kobalt trimmer and blower. Enough life for me to take care of everything on my 1/2 acre with one battery. I just alternate batteries every week.

Also like the hi/lo settings on the trimmer when I’m going around the kids playset and trees.

Get this, my wife bought me a new boiler setup from Lowe's and when I opened up the box and took out 100 quart pot it had been used. You could see the seasonings in it! They only bought it to use the pot because the burner was still factory wrapped.... There are some mfers in this world I tell ya.

I had a similar experience with a sound system from Best Buy. Got it home, all that was in the box was the cardboard packing and a bag of topsoil.
When the manager noticed the box was opened from the bottom and retaped, they seemed to find my story more plausible and gave me another unit.

Because of that kind of shite I have begun telling the cashier that I am opening and checking the box right there next to the register. I move out of the traffic area and do it. Saved me a couple of times recently!

Ever ever buy something that the package is no factory sealed. If you are contemplating buying it make sure you open it up and make sure it has never been used and has everything that is supposed to come with it

I bought a nylon hammock from Academy for a camping trip. Opened it up at the campsite to find a used moldy ripped up hammock.
