I need to get my engine serviced. Does anyone know of anyone or any place in the GNO area? Thanks

Hope it's just a tune up because it could be a 'good luck' thing if any parts are needed.

I havent had any issue with parts availability yet.
Boat stuff in Hammond, ask if Dennis still works there. Hes an etech guru

Dennis retired, and boat stuff won't touch a Evinrude anymore. Magnum Outboard in Harvey is about the only people who will still work on them.

I figured it wouldn't be long. Last time I had my boat there was probably 2022 or so, and he didnt sound super excited about working on mine
BRP really screwed us etech owners. Got me a good deal on my boat but I wish it would magically transform into a 300 yamaha.

Dunno but the warranty imo was a dead givaway to brp’s staying power in the market. Plenty guides bought them for the warranty and gave them away later.

Grandpa had an Evinrude snowmobile. He pulled a trailer with it and we would haul firewood from up in his woods down to the wood shed.
It was SLOW. But that thing would plow through any show with a trailer load of oak and kids.

I had a buddy that went to 4 different dealer service depts and none of them would touch his Evinrude.

Hell they probably had 3 years worth of warranty work backlogged and didn't have time. I have a 2017 Merc 60 HP tiller on my duck boat and Mercury still doesn't have a $.19 diode available that is in the ignition circuit of every mercury outboard built since the late 70s in stock. I made one for mine - If Mercury had one they wanted $29 for it 5 years ago...and have made several for other people. Modern outboards are marvels but they are far more service hungry than older outboards were or are....

Just had some repairs to mine at G and F Sporting Center in Raceland. Eric can still get parts. Great guy.
