Looking for an everyday handgun. Not sure which way to go. Im looking for something that can basically live in my center console that would be a great sidearm while hunting. Any suggestions from the board? TIA

I would go with a Glock 30/30S/30SF if I could only have one do-it-all handgun. A Ruger SP101 if I preferred revolvers.

If you’re not going to conceal it, get a full-size pistol from any major manufacturer.

^^This. From what you describe, you have no need for a smaller, easier to conceal gun. Are you going to use this handgun to hunt w/, or just carry it on you while hunting for finishing shots on game or self defense from 2-legged creatures? Having said that, my "outdoors gun" is a Taurus (let laughing commence) G2c in 9mm. I spent only $200 on it, largely bough it to see if Taurus guns were as bad as everyone was saying. Mine's been good. I ended up buying a less expensive OWB holder for it. I don't worry about it getting wet, dirty or whatever like i would my nicer guns for concealed carry. I don't use the Taurus to hunt.

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry in 45acp all stainless. Every once in awhile I carry a Sig 220-1 in 45acp usually only in colder weather.

I agree with this.

My G43X is my CC gun. I have a G19 on my nightstand, and a 38sp snub nose in my truck.

I know a G19 isn't considered "full-Sized", but its my largest pistol.

Im in the same boat and need a general do-all pistol. Not really needing to conceal carry.

Will likely buy a PSA Dagger. It won't hurt as much if it gets banged up or not used often.
