Absolutely love the series ChefJP. Can't wait to dig into season 2. The series is everything I love about friendships and Louisiana and a having a good time. And it played a big part into getting me into duck hunting "later" in life. Went the first time at 34 and I'm hooked.

Thanks for making and sharing those videos, it makes me reminisce about being born and raised in South La. Grew up in Schriever but moved away when I went to college and settled in South Texas. I miss those Louisiana swamps and haven't been duck hunting in about 15 years.

please take the time to give it a view, a like, and a comment. More than anything, this kind of engagement is what its going to take for us to continue making this show that so many Louisianians take pride in.

Done!! Found this show over the weekend and watched all of season 1. Great job all around and definitely proud to see a fellow South LA chef share what we have to offer.

I just want an invite!! Hit me up. I can help take some of the kitchen workload off & never shied away from a good time. I am only a couple hours away. Lol.

Chef, i watched the S2E1 last night in the ER since I cut my knuckle off raking leaves from the tin roof of my skinning rack. Very good!

I feel the same way. Grew up in Houma. I have been duck hunting for 48 years. Raised my kids to do the same. It’s a fine sport with lots of tradition. Chef’s show captures it like no other. I hope he is able to showcase some other areas of the USA occasionally. Great camaraderie between the guys!

Just watched A+ all the way around, great job , you can tell how much effort went into it, and looks like fun was had by all, y’all did a great job of sharing the “camp experience “
Will stay tuned for the next episode

I don’t think your lease is too far from ours. Keep it up, maybe have y’all over to other houseboats to cook and hunt. I know it’s hard to make a show when things are slow.

I don’t even know why this is grass roots. Honestly the production quality is better than most of the meateater shows.

You have a better voice, and the cooking is much more palatable than anything Steve cooks.

The scenery while I’m biased growing up and duck hunting is south Louisiana is second to none. Congrats on the show and season 2 looks like you’ve stepped it up even further.

I just found these and watched all of season 1 on Saturday, drinking on the back porch. I text several buddies, who also started watching and texted me liking the show. Great work.

Reminded me of when I was younger and my grandma from Welsh wanted me to shoot her a load of pouldeau because she wanted the gizzards for her dirty rice recipe.

JP you made a statement at the end of Episode 6 about the impact your mom had on your cooking...

reminded me of my mom and grandmother...
got a lil misty eyed...

keep up being real...
