Great series! Ever thought about a cook book of the recipes you use during the two series?

I'm afraid this is a declining tradition. There are 2 parts to this tradition (1)camp life (2)hunting.

While the camp life remains intact, I shut everything down after 5 trips as we killed pretty much next to nothing.

I gravitated away from hunting when the kids grew up and moved away. Camplife was what they loved the most.
Now, being late 40s and recently divorced, I think it is time for me to get back to the camplife.
The kids still talk about spending fall evenings at the camp and all the goodtimes we had.
My grandkids will be old enough to enjoy the same kinda fall evenings with their Pop in a few years.
And just like you said, CCL, i am proof that its a declining tradition but i must take it upon myself to rekindle it for myself and the grandkids.

TY for your post.

Getting my grocery list for the camp this weekend. Nothing better than a Friday afternoon feeling driving to the camp.

Only thing better is cracking that first beer when ya get there.

Chef, is there any talk from the Meateater group about release merch for your show?

New episode kicks arse. The soft shell crab and sauce piqaunte looks $$$$$$$$$$$. Looking forward to the Venice episode next week.

Watching it now, quality program. Watched Meateater on Netflix, hadn't realized there was a (better) local version on YT. Looking forward to season 3!

Love the show.

Someone mentioned recipes. Those can be found in the meateater site.
