Nope. I would still be as safe as possible in defending myself. Letting a child near a gun is not safe. Ask more questions. You seem to need more help.

If you would bother to stop trolling and watch the two videos I posted concerning the 21' rule you might understand how milliseconds can be the difference in you taking out the bad guy or him shoving a blade in your gut.

Yes, milliseconds matter.
Practicing with your primary weapons matters.
Doing drills that are demonstrated in the videos matters.

You keep talking about a home invasion where it happened so fast even having one in the chamber would not matter. Attacks and invasions happen fast. I prefer to give myself every edge that I can. If it is half a second, so be it. That's the difference in me getting or not getting a shot off.

This has been too painful to watch. I'll go ahead and jump in now.

W., my son would be dead today had I left the chamber empty. He didn't even have time to switch off the safety.

I thank GOD that I left the safety off that day I knew he would be alone...less than 24 hours before our home invasion.

You can chamber a round in milliseconds

Yep. Wheel is loaded but resting outside frame.

Slap into frame.

Then having to cock hammer/trigger would take more time than the slap.

Obviously, you don't own a wheel.

Thanks so much for posting a real life example.

Clearly you still don't know how gun safety works. I'll pray for you.

No, why would I purposefully limit myself to 6 rounds for home defense when the sky is the limit in my own home.

And if I did, it would be hammer resting on an empty chamber.

...and insofar as keeping weapons away from kids, my son was only 16 when he capped the bastard.

Correct.

Does that make me weak/ineffective?

frick no.

I was taught everything I know about weaponry from my father.

He served in Vietnam, USMC.

He didn't create the rules, the military did.

I can promise you I need prayer but not regarding gun safety from some one. No need, no situation I am in will ever result in an accidental injury by discharge. I'm just glad to see your offspring will at least get the loaded gun a few feet away. Of course it is now useless, but sense has prevailed somewhat.

I posted a real life example on page 2 where it took an innocent life. So I guess we're tied 1 all.

You don't know what you're talking about. You should ask more questions.

The military doesn't advocate Israeli carry. Not even in your dad's time.

I'm sure you trained him in gun safety, just like a responsible father should. Bravo, and glad it worked out in his favor.

My son is almost 16. I have trained him in responsible firearms use for years. I am fairly confident that he could defend my home just as well as I could.

Yea, because an accident by someone drunk and irresponsible is exactly the same thing. Def tied one all.

Nah, you would be disingenuous at best. Or a prick at worst. Like I said you answered what I need to know, you probably haven't even noticed.
