If you throw a hog blackstrap on the grille and it blue smokes or rolls coal you know she's been on diesel corn.

Will black bears eat it? Texas has approved killing pugs with a drug that makes em bleed out, like warfarin basically, but LA won't let it happen because of Tyne worry of the black bear getting negatively affected

Just don't do it. It's illegal for one. And it's pure white trash shite. Don't be white trash

Eradicating hogs that cost me tens if thousands of $s yearly, is not white trash. Finding a legal way to safely get that accomplished is not white trash.
You do you. I'll worry about my assets.

Dry corn works just fine. The professionals use just that
Don't be pouring diesel or motor oil on the ground. That is the white trash part Good luck with your endeavors.

I'm assuming you're talking about an EPA/FDA approved poison?

Does the corn-soaked diesel kill the hogs?
No one is going to eat the hogs we kill, our processor won't fool with them, plus Country Pleasin' Sausage is still pretty cheap and 10x better than any wild game sausage.

Absolutely. Some folks I know mix in something like a pack or two of cherry coolaid into the diesel/corn mix.

Back when coal was a primary home heating fuel, the local supplier screened the coal sold for stoves and the "slack coal" screenings were sold to the farmers as a hog supplement. I remember the hogs fighting over the stuff when dad scooped it over the fence and they would be crunching it all up as quick as they could. None died and they tasted just super.
A special post was planted in most hog yards and wrapped with several layers of burlap and then with hog mesh fence wire. Used oil was poured on the burlap and the hogs would rub on it to ease their itches.
A good spraying with kerosene and used oil was the best cure for hog lice.

We would do a bottle of Faygo, strawberry jello packets and packets of yeast. Let ferment and they would tear it up!

People been using old motor oil and diesel on farms for years to protect fence post, knock down unwanted vegetation, start controlled fires
Acting like this is new with hog bait is strange trigger point in this thread.
I get triggered with people throwing cigarette butts out their windows more than a spray of diesel against a fence posts.

Have had success with the jello, but greater success with old fish grease.

Sadly I’ve never had to add anything to my corn to attract hogs. I wish I had some of you guys problems of attracting them lol.

Spraying fence posts is way different than mixing it with feed.

Yes they will eat it, but my personal accounts of watching them is, they like to roll and "bathe' in the diesel to keep lice, bugs, ticks and parasites off of them with the diesel and or burnt oil. Ive "baited' up many spots with just plain diesel or burnt oil and they make a huge waller out of it.

but pouring a liter here and there is not a big deal at all. Its a pretty natural product and until we started collecting it there was petroleum seeping out of the ground all over the world.
It gets into the ground water my guy. Its a pretty serious potential problem.
