I've got a guy at the Baton Rouge airport that will fly you for $250/hr. I usually use him instead of Southern Seaplanes unless I absolutely have to land in the water, or if I'm going somewhere really remote where landing a wheeled plane in an emergency wouldn't be possible. Let me know if you ever want his contact info.

There is no walking the bank. There is very little bank too walk and most of the time the water level was too low to get to the bank.

We were blowing whistles so if he was near us he would have heard us...

You could try and talk to MJ2 about getting a plane. IIRC, they have a few guys on retainer around the state that are used for taking aerial pics. Would probably go up for the $$$

Until the water level rises a plane isn't going to help much. If you find him with the plane you can't get to him. That will change as we get closer to the weekend and the wind starts blowing water into the marsh and hunter numbers increase for the weekend...

So is there any reason to go ride around out there? My afternoon is pretty open and I'd gladly be willing to go, but if there isn't any point in it....

There are only two roads(11 and 90), right?

There are lost dog signs along the road and lots of hunters down there. If they see a pointer with a duck vest and a collar along the road someone is going to stop and pick him up. Dat lives near there also so if he pops up we have someone that can grab him...

Alright man. I'm in decent enough shape to get things done if yall need help with anything(paddling, walking marsh, etc)

I'd assume the dog went by venetian isles yesterday afternoon, but is seemed like he was reluctant to swim across the bayou. Kinda trapped in by water on all sides

Do you know how tall the grass is around there? Is a man drive possible?

We don't think he is going to cross the big bayous unless he is really hungry. There is plenty of game out there for him to eat so hunger is probably not an issue.

I think Sat will be the day unless someone stumbles across him...

Venitain Isles seems to be a good spot. All of the activites there could draw him in. Problem is the main Bayou there is wide and the Chef to the East is even bigger, too big.
That point of land at the Chef and Grand Bayou across from Venitian Isles may be a good spot to setup

Bing Maps Birds Eye view shows that bank with shrubs and small trees. Higher ground
