Cellular Trail Cameras
Interested in setting up several of these at my Cousin’s place to do some scouting for locations for new stands, and being 4 hours away makes checking cards a challenge. At the very least will put out a mix of regular and cellular, depending on price.

Decent cellular coverage (AT&T) so that’s not a concern. An my recommendations or experiences to share? On-line reviews on most are mixed, to say the least, and even the “professional” reviews vary a great deal.

re: Cellular Trail Cameras
I purchased 3 Spypoints late last summer. The quality is OK, but definitely better than not knowing what was occurring while being away.

Mid-season, I got 2 of the Moultree cell cams. The picture quality is miles ahead of the Spypoints.

Spypoint are junk/. Been having them for 2 seasons and they are a pain.
Will not be using the service this year

re: Cellular Trail Cameras
I have 5 spypoint micro. 1 in Chauvin and 4 in amite. I’ve had them for 2 full seasons. I’ve had 2 replaced under warranty. The process was straight forward but I did have to follow a protocol to have it done. Otherwise they have worked great. Picture quality over cellular is low but that’s expected. Pic quality on the cards are high quality. People dog them on here but for $100 they work fine. App is simple to use.

I have Moultrie and Spypoint Micro.

Go with Moultrie. I have the 6000i and it's been great.

I've had the cuddeback for a few months.

It does a good enough job. With the solar kit I never have to check it.

Pics that are sent over text/email are low resolution though. High res are stored on the card.

Only one cell plan for up to 24 cameras if they are close enough to talk to each other.

re: Cellular Trail Cameras
Anyone know of any cell cam plans that would allow running multiple cameras that are a very far distance from each other, as in different states? I'm thinking about running cams in Texas and LA next year, but would love to only have 1 plan.

I’ll agree with this, but for the money and quality, I’d purchase the Tactacam Reveal and not look back. We bought 10 last year from Walmart for $99/ea and was blown away. No way I can justify the money for a Covert moving forward.

I have 10 of the Spypoint Micros. Like others have said picture quality on app is low ,but good on the cards. I have had 2 replaced under warranty, but procedure was easy. I like that they have a free 100 pictures per month plan. If I need more pictures I can purchase more pictures per month with no long term commitment.

They were great for the first year. All 5 of ours died at the end of this season.

Well that blows. Knock on wood, hope we don’t have the same experience. Curious if you have reached out to Tactacam and their customer service/response to make it right?

Check out Trail CamPro.They review cameras and sell them also.Their top rated camera is Browning.I have a Reconyx Hyperfire 2 cellular and plan to get another. They are pricey but very reliable, great battery life and customer support is stellar.Plus made in USA.I’m thinking about getting a Browning also,$200.00 ,gets great reviews.

Don't buy a Covert without looking at a Spartan first. I don't believe there is a better picture quality out there than a Spartan.

We use both at our club and have gotten to where we prefer the Spartans. Very good customer service and excellent camreas. Covert's are very good as well really can't go wrong with either.

You couldn't give me a Spypoint FYI.
