You couldn't give me a Spypoint FYI.

I’d buy them for $99 all day. Send me the ones you don’t want.

We are running 9 Verizon Spartans with no issues. They’re the best in my opinion. My friends have sold their spy points and now run Spartans as well

We have had a good experience with Snyper.

Ditto on Synper. The 4G get good coverage. Only down side is the app won’t let you auto trigger pictures, but the camera is half the cost of a Spartan or Covert.

They are pricey but over the life of he camera, they are cheaper than Spartans. Spartan cell plan and app credits make it the most expensive camera to use.

reached out to Tactacam and their customer service/response to make it right?

Bought 3 this year. One got wonky and started snapping pics every 1 minute, but not with motion triggers. I emailed them. Response took like a day or so, but they gave me some troubleshooting to do and when that didn’t work they asked me to send the cam back. In about a week they emailed saying they had ‘ flashed ‘ and updated the vaa as meta and were sending it back. What I got back looked for all the world like a brand new camera. Even had the little plastic antenna screw protector. Works great.

So, I was satisfied with how they handled the issue I had.

I invested over a grand on SPYPOINT cameras this past season not counting the one year plans. I have 3 EVO’s and one mini with antennas. Had issues with all of them. I am now a professional at downloading new firm ware and sending cameras back. I will NEVER spend another dollar on a SPYPOINT.

DON’T DO IT PLEASE.

Running 8 Tactacams. Ran them for 4 months. Only had one issue, one camera wouldn’t capture motion after batteries were changed after running 6 weeks , had to send it back after remote troubleshooting wouldn’t correct issue. These are the best cameras I’ve ever ran. Had unlimited plans, had to keep extending the capture times cause I had so many pics every day. Never had a dead spot, and lease is in remote area. Cost was $99.95 each and unlimited plan was $13 for 1camera, then $11 for each additional camera. Almost every member wants one, cause I call them immediately after they drive by my stands, so they know how good and quick they are, lol. They can’t get them though, been sold out during season. Been very pleased....

Great info in here, thanks guys. Couple of follow ups. This is family property and we are all on AT&T, and we get surprisingly good coverage down in the river bottoms, in fact, better than at the camp on the highway (in a pretty remote area) so I have no idea about Verizon coverage. Also, for those with multiple brands, which would be my leaning, to get 3-4 and try them out, but would I then have to set up a separate plan for each, or can I just go to AT&T and set them all up there?

If you go the AT&T route, go to the store and have them set up the SIM cards as data only iPad plans and just add them to your current AT&T plan.

Saved me from a lot of Internet digging. Plus I should be able to add them to my existing AT&T plan with phones and Internet and save a few bucks. Thanks!

I finally threw my spypoint in the trash. Simply not worth the headache. It was the 99 dollars one, the more costlier units may be good? I bought 3 Tactacams and wish I would have bought 10. No one has them in stock as of now. Supposed to be available in April.

I own or have owned 4 coverts, 4 browning defenders, and roughly 15 cuddebacks on a cell network. All have pros / cons.

The coverts are well built and the cellular portion of the camera is perfect. The app is great. My experience with coverts is that the trigger is very unreliable. Many times I would watch a deer under the feeder and bot get any pics at all . Eventually I got to where I didn’t trust the cameras so I got rid of them.

The cuddeback system is ok. The cameras are not as sturdy or well built as either the brownings or coverts. I have had multiple issues with cameras breaking with minimal impact. The cell / email situation is ok , but not as good as the covert or browning app. The network requires extra cameras to be used as repeaters if you plan on covering a big area. So that eats up some cost. I always feel like I’m chasing my tail keeping the whole network up and running.

This brings me to Browning. I ordered 4 defender wireless cams. 2 were duds out the box, they were promptly replaced. Once those were replaced, I have been very pleased. Solid camera. Great app. Reliable trigger. Lasted about 6 weeks with lithiums but switching to solar now which hopefully will work well.

I think overall, if you’re buying cameras now, of the three I would go with browning.

Bought 4 Tactacam Reveal ATT on eBay bc I couldn’t find them anywhere else - paid like $150 each / was $30 more than retail but like I said couldn’t find them anywhere - 3 worked flawlessly out the box and in the field - they are game changers for sure / knew exactly where my shooter bucks were and when they liked to show up - the 4th camera never worked right; even tho I bought from eBay the support guys never said anything about that / the support guys tried everything to fix but couldn’t so they sent me a new one and it also works perfectly - I highly recommend these - only 1 season in so far tho

Spypoint sent me a replacement camera that didn't work straight out of the box.
