Can you recommend a good set of cameras - will be multiple - that are cellular and can send pics to phone? Do you have to get individual cell plans for each? Or are they all on a network and u just get 1 plan? Recommend plan to get? Thinking about upgrading and curious on OB experience and thoughts

We did this thread back in the fall. Maybe October? Hard to remember exactly. There's a lot of good info there if you can find it.
I almost pulled the trigger on the Cuddelink system. It's basically as many cameras as you want to put together (maybe like up to 16?) And they all daisy chain together from one to another until they make it back to the "base unit" .
And that base unit is connected through a cell service. And you get that service for something reasonable. Maybe $20 per month? Or maybe more if you want unlimited pics? It's hard to remember the details.
The reasons I didn't get on that wagon this year is 1) someone said that it was only available through Verizon and AT&T wouldn't be available as an option until this year. And 2) it's a pretty new system and I am just not an early adopter.
That being said, I am thinking that I will look at it harder this spring. I definitely want to get on board with this.

I have 2 SPYPOINTs that I got for Christmas. I’m still on the initial free photos but will go to the standard plan once that’s up. It’s 1000 pictures for $14 a month.

Got a Skypoint for $100 on Black Friday. Works great. Down in a deep creek bottom too.
Saw them on eBay for 105. I’d get one

I just bought 2 spypoint link-micro upon a rec on here this week. They have been working great. I got a Verizon and a nationwide one and they both work well. Academy matched them to dicks for $99-5%. Great deal. You get 100 pics for free monthly. Plans go up after that. You can go month to month or yearly. Unlimited is 15/month month to month and will probably do this for deer seasons in the future.

Great info - for spypoint do you just pay 1 subscription for unlimited cameras? Or 1 per?

I have the spypoint micro as well and have had zero issues with it for the last several months.
You have to pay for a plan for each camera, their are several tiers as in how many photos or unlimited. And and a cheaper rate if you pay for a whole year. One nice thing is if you run several you can pay monthly on several an a yearly rate for one that yo want to montitor year around.
There is no obligation or commitment like some of the earlier cams had,,

My son’s SpyPoint crapped out in 2 weeks. It’s boxed to go back via Amazon.

I have covert cameras and have been really happy with them. They are a little pricey, but have worked well for me.

Crapped out as wont even turn on?
Did you call them about it?
I know of a few people that had problems and called spypoint and they were able to do a firmware update or some BS and now they are working, might be worth a shot if they turn on but don’t seem to take or send pics

I have 4 covert Black ops. Had 2 of them for 2 years with no issues. I have a 1000 pic plan per month per camera for 9.99 each. I change it after season is over.

No Colors, are you saying that if I had 3 cuddelinks and one was down in the canyon/creek (where I have no cell service) and it took a picture it could send it to say my middle camera half way up to the cabin and then that camera would send it on up to the 3rd camera at the cabin (the only place we get cell service) and it would then send it to my phone??
When would AT&T have this service for them?
And could the camera send the picture to multiple phones?

I use Coverts. You pay one monthly plan for the first camera and then can add on for $5 per month per extra camera

Covert if price is not an issue followed by Spartan. Do your research on cell service and the data plans.

That is precisely the idea of the daisy chain. That, and the idea that you can have 15 cameras and only one cell phone bill.
In perfect conditions over open ground, your cameras can link each other over a mile. In thick woods and hills, it's more like 1/4 mile. A lot of our food plots are in creek bottoms with major bluffs and heavy woods. So the idea is to put maybe two cameras in a plot. And then one up on the ridge overlooking the plot. Also, you can buy cameras that are "relay stations" . They don't actually take pictures. So you can put them at the top of a hill. Or even on the top of a building, stand, water tower, etc. And they act as a link in the daisy chain.
I don't actually have verified information about the AT&T thing. Only that someone on the thread (who I respect) said that they had been told it wasn't yet available in AT&T.
I'm thinking about buying a set and getting started. If I do, then I'll make a Mega Thread about it and everyone can follow.

No better time than now.
Do it.

My brother bought a couple Spypoints and both of them are working flawlessly, one in less than desirable cell service.
