they taste alright if you dont have a freezer full of fish; they school up and are easy as frick to catch; they don't put up any fight nor jump.

i can understand why they popular with weekend warriors who want meat, but i really don't care to catch em. i'll release them now for those of you who love em

I hate you. I fish ALOT and have never caught a trout that big. I hope you rot in hell.

April, out at the rigs in the Sound produce solid 5-6 lb trout all day. You just have to find were they are stacked up.

Yeah, been fishing Last Isle for 30 years and biggest trout was 25 1/4 in. We don't fish any farther south than the Gulf side of the island though.

I have 6 trout caught over 5 lbs and 3 were Big Lake with 2 Marsh Island catches.

I'm not at all impressed by you showing off a lame trout like that and really don't care and I think you're stupid and your mother wears combat boots which helps cover for the fact that I'm actually quite jealous and suffering from a severe case of trout envy and mad that someone who doesn't even really try to catch trout caught one like that on light tackle.............and you're gay!

But seriously..........

Save every trout you catch and I'll give you $1 each for them. I go through gallon bags of trout weekly

That is baeutiful fish.

True measure of trophy speck is the length. Think of it, you may catch a fish one day that just ate big mullet and it appears heavier and more impressive then if somebody caught the same fish a day later and it had purged the big mullet.

Length doesnt' change over night. Congrats on the fish, if she was close to 30 then you have real trophy, and are in the "dirty thirty" club

Dont' worry about the haters, most of them havent' seen a trout that big and never will, as 90% of them only fish in the summer with live shrimp and brag about the schoolies they catch at the pickets. And I hope you ate it
