I've got one in 26 nosler. It's the western hunter. I really like the look and feel of it, but have yet to shoot it. My brother has one in 270 and he loves it.

I looked hard at one this fall. Ended up buying a Bergara, but I really liked it.

My brother in law bought one to hunt with, got married and put it in the attic. I have been trying to buy it from him, but he thinks it's still worth what he paid for it.

they're fine guns, but there are much better options that cost less.

Overpriced for what they are. I would buy a Sako A7 for the same price or get a Tikka and put the extra towards your scope budget to get a better scope.

i have two x bolt 7mm 08. I like them a lot for dropping a few deer a year. No issues with either. One was a gift and the other is a youth model my FIL bought for my wife. Cant argue with free guns...Thats all i have to offer

No personal experience with them aside from seeing friends hunt with them. The slough of guys I know that hunt with them enjoy them though.

Wait, he put it in the attic?

Like in the attic in his house? An attic that can reach ~120-130 degrees?

WTH?

I bought the Hells canyon in a 300 win mag last year, its accurate and very comfortable to shoot. I also just picked up a white gold medallion chambered in a 30-06, but never found time to shoot it. I'm very impressed with the quality and the craftsmanship. Hopefully it shoots as good as it looks.

I have an A-bolt .270 set up with the BOSS and an X-bolt .308, both are fine guns but I actually prefer the A-bolt.

Yep, in the attic, in a case, covered in dust, rotting away. I did shoot a deer with it one year, wish he'd just give it to me.

I agree. They cost too much. Nice rifles though

I have the x-bolt 308. It shoots great and feels great. Beautiful gun with the thumb hole stock. I love it.

I have an X Bolt Hunter In .308. I really like it and it has a nice trigger and smooth action.

The last buck taken with it was shot 130 yards in Freer TX.

Much better than my previous rifle. Winchester model 70.

ETA:
The ones with the blonde/maple stocks are fine as frog hair.

I have one in .280 Remington, 7 or 8 years old. It's a nice gun, I don't like the trigger because I cannot seem to lighten it to less than 4.5 lbs...I think Timney came out with a xbolt trigger, so I will swap it out.

I have an Xbolt Medallion 6.5 Creedmoor. Very accurate, lite, and beautiful. I paid too much for it but it’s the gun I’ve always wanted and now I have it.
