My 8 year old just killed his first.
Natchitoches Parish with a 7mm-08
Shot a doe at about 80yards. Trailer her about 25 yards into the brush. He’s jacked.

Congratulations dad, so freaking cool to see young one getting it done with all of today’s distractions. Enjoy the moment and take more pictures and videos than you think necessary.

Back as well. Different stand with same little buddy heater, left coffee behind and brought Dos Equis.

Ouachita parish public
Way the hell back in middle of nowhere overlooking couple of scrapes, nuttalls, and a honey locust thicket
Specklebellies been flying all day from the north
No kids or family this evening to entertain
Finally got house to ourselves
Gonna have to be a donkey for me to pull the trigger

Area 4
Wind out of the don’t care, decided to hunt a box
Dirty thirty sitting on point
Hoping for a buck or a pig or a Coon or a coyote.
Really excited about crushing some white cans and cooking some boudin balls after the hunt

Tupelo, MS. In a box with my nephew. He's trying to talk me in to letting him shoot a 60 or 70 lb doe we've been watching. If I get much hungrier I'll probably let him.

If it were his first deer I'd let him. I've explained to him that you only shoot deer this size when you don't have any witnesses to make fun of you.

I dont see any spots. Let one of those mess up and pass by me this weekend
Could have killed it a long time ago and have it halfway skint right now and be cooking and drinking already

Public land it'd have been smoked within seconds of seeing it. The feller who lets me hunt here wants us shooting older deer so I follow his rules
