The dude is a psychopath. Anyone watch the video of him snagging those fish? Most people would be going nuts over catching those bass but he's just finding them on beds and snagging them with no emotion at all then posting them on IG saying he caught them on a jig

I don’t think that’s it. That doesn’t explain stalking a kid and trying to injure/kill multiple people.
After reading that article, though, I’m thinking there are probably a lot of people out there snagging. Not tournament fishers, but just everyday people that want to get big fish in the boat.

Don't think for a minute that cheatin in tournaments isn't happening today. Tanked fish in your local river tournaments and Wednesday night dog fights are still happening more than you care to know. Paid pre fishing on lakes that are off limits to the angler goes on at every BASS event. I've been in this boat I know. Fizzed bag fish in the rod box of your club event that was caught 3 days ago is still a thing because the weigh master only glances in the live well at BEST.
Case and point. Local river tourney here. First of the year. 2-20 something kids roll up in an aluminum boat. with 3 rods and a ice chest full of beer. Blast off and they are behind all the big rigs and mosey about 2 miles from launch and fish and drink and relax. Show back up with big bass and top stringer. 2 of the 3 rods still have the same lure in the same position on the rod eye and 20 empty beer cans in the boat on a 3 hr trip. They took the money and never came back.

Yep can’t stand a cheat. I won’t say his name but a local guy in south LA was busted cheating. He actually was a really good fisherman, but felt compelled to cheat anyway. He was basically blackballed from the club and no one has heard a word from him. Last I heard he moved to California

He only got caught once, but he cheated quite a bit. The frozen speck story is disturbing.

Oh I know it wasn’t the only time. There was another guy who failed a poly a few years before, but I honestly think he’s a straight up guy and failing was a fluke

I don't understand how people cheat. I once thought about weighing in a bass for a cookie jar that was caught after the time limit. I got the cold sweats on the way back to the landing and couldn't do it.
I do know some people that wouldn't surprise me if they cheat regularly

Don't know the whole story, but I heard he submitted a Speckled Trout at a tournament that looked to be frozen for a while. When it came time for the polygraph he took off and said he had to go to work.
