I'm a Benelli fan but you can keep the flat bills, affliction and white framed glasses. If I understood your jibberish, it appears we agree

Beretta A400: 7 lbs 11 oz.*
Benelli SBE2: 7 lbs 3 oz.

*with kick-off system

That's about an iphone's amount of weight difference. And it's likely in the stock.

I see it as comparing a proto wrench to a snap-on wrench.

They both do the same job, who gives a shite.

The Vinci line of shotguns are the ugliest, space age firearm I've shot.

They also feel better in the hand than most any other autoloader for me.

I compared a Super Vinci and a Beretta Extrema back to back the other day and the Beretta felt like a fence post.

I wouldn't trade my 20ga Cordoba for anything Beretta makes, any format, gauge or price..

You're the one who made a purely subjective blanket statement.

Countless as in the hundreds of different guns you have personally seen quit or you didn't keep a count?

All the Benelli needs is a little oil on the rails of the bolt. The gun even comes with a bottle of it but people sometimes ignore the instructions.

If I was getting a gun right now, I'd get an A5. And I'm a Benelli guy

I made the statement just based on my opinion.

Fair enough.

Personally I like the lines of most Benellis, particularly the Cordobas, SuperSport, and Legacy. The Vinci and Super Vinci aren't the prettiest but they are designed for function first and seem to do well for that.

I like the looks of the new OU because it is different. Would like to see one in person.

The statement still implicitly disregards other opinions. That's why people are responding like they are

The aesthetics of a firearm has no universal qualities and is subject to individual tastes except with females, and we have a hard time understanding them.

Personally for my duck/turkey (ie dirty) guns I don't care about pretty. I don't want pretty because I'm going to beat the hell out of it.

Now my dove/quail/etc is a totally different ball game. I want a pretty gun and for that i have a Beretta O/U
