Had a hell of a drought this past year but got some decent rain in the spring so hopefully we have a shooter or two come October.

Damn Tactacam has been kicking my arse with dead battery packs connected to solar panels. The cows and horses are doing me no favors with turning my damn cams into the brush.

Should finish out as a main frame 10 with kickers. He’s got a G1 on his right side you can’t see.

I bought one of those 4 pack of lithium packs with the charger. The charger simply doesn't work. But the battery packs are pretty awesome. I don't use the % on the app, I just wait for the cam to stop working, which can be way later than it gets to "1%". The battery packs charge with usb-c so I just always have a charged up one with me in my truck at all times.

I’m about ready to go scorched earth on Tactacam on every hunting forum and Facebook forum.

I’ve got 18 cams, 17 solar panels(bought over 20), 24 battery packs, 15 varmint cables, 15 memory cards 32 gig Tactacam brand.

I can’t get these fricking GD cocksucking things to connect to the camera, solar panel and battery pack to charge. Half of them work and say connected to external and the other half just drain the battery pack. I spend $2500 a year for cell cam service and another $1000 for maintenance between new cams, solar panels that last a year or for at most.

frick those figs.

Pops wants to add some cams to our modest 2 tactacam setup.

It has been good to us, but he complains of photo quality. I suggested more Tactacams to stay in the same operating system but damnit son you just scared me pretty good.

Rize, I see you’re invested in tactacam and I wanted to mention, I’m running 4 wise eye cameras now and am very happy with them.

This is my life

Feel like I’m ordering tons of shite multiple times a year just to keep up. According to Tactacam I messed up and bought around 15 to battery packs off Amazon for $25 vs $50 for Tactacam brand and apparently the off brand are hit or miss for sinking up to be charged by the solar panel.

I still think Tactacam is trash because I feel like I’ve got some Tactacam batteries and they still won’t charge with the Tactacam solar panel. I’m in the process of buying all new battery packs from Tactacam and I’m up to around 7 or 8 now.

Anyone in the Houston area I’ll give you all the old battery packs once I finish replacing them. Wouldn’t be a bad deal if you have cams and are close to your cams. I’m just too far away from my ranch and lease to have the packs drain and I get a ton of pics daily. Would work well if you had a 5 minute delay and be cheaper than batteries.

Had to replace one of my Tacticam solar panels a month or so ago. It stopped taking a charge.

First issue I’ve had in 2-3 yrs but I only have two of them.

My buddy and I both switched to tactacam. I have 2.0, he has 3.0. I have zero problems with my cams/batteries/solar panels. He has tons of problems with the 3.0's. He also has an electronics degree and a security camera company. He did some research, then built his own solar panel/ battery boxes and did away with the tactacam stuff. He has had zero trouble since.

Eta: he still has the tactacam 3.0 cameras, but with his custom built solar panel/ external battery boxes that plug in with the factory solar panel cord
