More than half the field has net earning of less than 200K their entire careers . They just paying entry fees and fishing against subpar contestants just like them. You can’t replace the star power and greatest to ever do it with just averages joes and think it won’t take away from the productThere’s only a few pros period that make a living fishing and the sponsors tell you which ones they are. MLF has 90% of them. The days of long careers in the Elites is a 20% game.

Wasn't up the Tugaloo but I reckon I had it right with my pick of Jason Christie. Good dude that deserved this win

John Cox tried to do it last year but ended up being disqualified at an elite event because he fished an mlf event on the same body of water the week before during the off limits period for the elite event.

to each his own i guess...i want to see the 5 biggest fish hit the scales and the Classic will always be the super bowl of bass fishing for me. MLF just doesn’t do it for me and in my opinion will eventually die down. There’s a reason some of the big names have transitioned back to BASS like Palaniuk, Swindle, Hackney, Christie, Iaconelli and more to come...if they can re-qualify

Watched some of it this morning and watched Ito work that live scope. Impressive.

Happy for Jason Christie, heck of a bass fisherman and finally got his Classic win after being close a couple times. BASS needs to do some tuning on the Basstrack, I didn’t think he had a chance when coverage ended yesterday afternoon. Hat tip to Stetson Blaylock and Kyle Welcher, they both fished their butts off as well.

I think BASS messes with the bass track on purpose to provide some drama.... I was thinking last night that Stetson was a lock to win and he finished 3rd.
Happy for Christie.... he wasn't who I picked but I did feel like he had a good chance to win it.

Yeah. It was nice to see Christie win. I was kinda hoping Welcher would get it since he's an Alabama guy.

I was pulling for Welcher as well and thought he had it when he knocked Blaylock out of the hot seat. That last fish Christie caught with less than 30min to go before check-in got him the W.

Exact opposite for me. I just cannot watch BASS.

I'm a BASS guy but I've come around to MLF... it's a good watch but not the same weigh-in drama as BASS.... 5 fish for me all day every day but I think there's a place for both.

I think the MLF is a much more watchable product. I really like that I can put on the live stream and just have it on in the background.

The weight-in stuff that bassmaster does got real old. I got to really hate watching a weight-in.

IMO watching the last 10 minutes of an MLF day is much more enjoyable than watching a weight-in for an hour or whatever it takes.

No way I am watching a weigh in. I watch fishing to see fish caught.

There's 4-5 more or so well known/big name MLF guys fishing bassmaster opens this year trying to re-qualify.

Then you have this stuff.. Ish at Classic

I'll watch MLF if it's on

Combo of watching him fish and listening to pre-tournament coverage.

Me too, I look for old Readers Digests to read versus watch BASS. MLF, on the other hand, gets my attention.

I Like to watch any kind of fishing. But the suspense of 5 fish at the weigh is where it's at.

Mlf just gets me with the stages and locations.. Need a map to follow. Then it doesn't air for months. Can't always stream live.
