I've come around to MLF

I love MLF but not when they are on lakes where the average bass is 1.5 lbs - Dink Fest

Stage 1 in Louisiana was awesome
Stage 2 also great at Fork

this last one meh - some guy catching 32 bass for 50 lbs doesn't get me going

I think I would like MLF more if I didn't know the backstory with Duckett and Rucks and how they basically tried to slit BASS's throat when it began. It's almost like a cult the way the anglers can't say anything negative about it and can't talk about certain things. Strange.
Now the TV product.... it's good .... no doubt.
And they do have the most star-studded lineup. But I'll still take the 5 fish BASS format all day every day.

I like both. MLF is more fan friendly to watch, but I also do enjoy watching them weigh 5 fish in

I am the same way. Duckett is a snake. He tried to buy B.A.S.S. and couldn't so out of spite he tried to take over bass fishing. I liked the MLF as a television product and that is it. It was a nice side show.

Belts, stages, brackets, zeroing weights, redcrests, cups just don't appeal to me. They tried to take parts from other sports and put them into bass fishing and it doesn't work. It is literally designed to attract people that don't fish. Their words not mine. I can't stand it and don't follow it. He who wins the last day wins it all is ridiculous.

All that said B.A.S.S. created the climate that made many guys want to break off once again.

You are right. If MLF brings in viewers that don’t necessarily bass fish isn’t a bad thing. It’s good overall for the sport and I’m sure the sponsors don’t mind. I can’t stand Duckett. I think his rods are average as well.
