Thinking I'll get one just to piss off the anti-gun folks. Talking 'bout overkill, but the more they talk shite about gun control, the bigger and badder toys I want. What says the OB?

Some a-hole at a range I go to has one. The rifle range has a tin covering, so it's loud as the motherfrick. Every time he shoots, he yells "sending one!" and everyone has to evacuate the covered area for him to shoot.

I've never been by a .50BMG to feel that blast but if the blast from a .308 M1A is as loud as it is, I can't even fathom how loud a .50BMG must be. Unreal.

It is fun to shoot but make sure you have a range close by that can handle it. It would be a shame to have to go way, way out of your way just to punch a few out.

Ran 10 rounds through this bad boy along with numerous full auto weapons that day. This is a full custom bolt action BMG50.
Wasn't near as bad kick wise as I would have thought but the percussion was off the charts.
Here is the .50 round next to a clip of .223 for comparison.

i was shooting next to a guy blasting away with his ported 416 rigby. everytime he fired off a round i could feel the concussion in my teeth fillings.

subMOA has a .50 but I don't think it's a barret
