Been using calcuttas forever. Recently said "screw it" and got some curado 200k's. Gotta say I'm not a fan of low profile. What's y'all's preference on baitcasters?

A round profile is only good for casting once and sitting and watching while out deep sea fishing

I could not imagine actually casting a round baitcaster over and over again while fishing for bass or reds

I can deal with round on something long and slow like South Carolina rig, but not much else.

without a doubt low...as long as it holds enough line for the technique you're using...

Sounds like you already have a preference. If it feels good to you it doesn’t matter what anyone else likes. I personally can’t stand fishing with a reel I can’t palm, but I’m set in my ways.

I prefer round because thats what I grew up with. Both work just fine.

Low.

That being said, if your looking to offload a few of them, I could probably find “a guy” that would be interested.

Low profile for me, I couldn’t even imagine going back to the round style.

I can palm either -- some of the low profile reels have large handles that hit my fingers when I retrieve the bait.
Calcuttas never cause this issue.
