Why not just carry a roll of quarters

Brass knuckles will cause considerable more damage than a roll of quarters, trust me.

I found this that says it’s legal in LA as long as you have your CHP.

Best weapon (other than a handgun ) that you can openly carry is a walking cane with a crook wide enough to hook around someone's neck. Legally, it's a medical device, and due to restrictions in HIPAA, not even TSA nor police are allowed to question your need for such a device. I've carried them on board airliners without a second glance. In fact, they usually ask you to move to the front of the boarding line.

Get one made out of a solid hardwood like hickory.

How are you going to get caught with brass knuckles? You walking through medal detectors or something? Then probably not a good idea. Somewhere else? I mean don’t get caught. I feel like you are over thinking it.

I have my EDC knife I have just because, but I don’t even think about it half the time if there’s places I’m not supposed to take it outside of the airport.

I bought a collapsible baton at Academy. Came with a belt attachment loop. Pretty sure it's not prohibited.

doesnt seem to prohibit open carry but youre most likely going to get arrested for 2nd degree battery (felony) if you use brass knuckles.

be hard to say you werent the aggressor even if you werent. doesnt make the arrest proper, but thats whats likely going to happen and then youre going to have to fight it.

So you are not handicap and you carry a cane, and they let you skip the line to board planes early? And you do all of this because you feel the need to carry a weapon? You must live in New Orleans east or something

When I took a CC course in Bossier City I asked the instructor (Bossier policeman) about collapsible batons. According to him they're legal. I didn't ask about brass knuckles.

Yes, I do, why is this any of your concern why I carry a cane?

I said they asked, never said I did skip. Even if I did, were any handicapped people displaced?

IDK man I think the joke is on you. You are a grown man that carries a cane as a weapon to protect yourself from the streets of St. George and apparently anywhere you travel...

I care because I find this very unique and weird. And I would have no idea if you displaced any handicapped people that is why i asked.

And classic St. George supporters putting people down based on where they live.

Apparently most of the people here carry a weapon for self defense. Do you know how many concealed carry/open carry people there are in Louisiana? The cane is carried to places where I can't conceal carry my gun, where I believe I'll need more than my hands.
