Looking for a new gas grill for the house. I’ve always been a charcoal man but I don’t have a carport currently and it’s become a hassle to keep an eye on it while the charcoal burns out. Basically, it’s become a hassle.

I’ve never been a big fan of gas but necessity I guess speaks more than wants at the moment.

Not looking to break the bank or something to last decades upon decades. Just want a solid grill that really cooks.

Get a pellet grill they are the best of both flavor/ease.
If not get a Weber spirit gas grill I had one for 10-12 years with only one flash guard swap out on it before I got my pellet grill.

I have an Oklahoma Joes (bought at Academy) has a side box smoker with small grill above it, large charcoal side, a gas side and a exterior burner. I love it.

Have to agree for what you are looking for, a Weber Spirit series is probably your best bet. I have everything but a pellet cooker (next purchase lol), but I probably cook as much on my Weber when no prep time is required and the kids are wanting something quick which is often. Had an older Genesis Silver series that lasted 12 years before it was time to say goodbye. You may spend a little more for a Weber, but they are well worth the extra $ compared to other gas grills imo. Lowe's will typically run a clearance sale every so often, keep your eye out (typically half price).

Have a Weber genesis and really like it. A little more $ but I am on year 5 and after a good cleaning it looks and grills good as new. I did change out the regulator so that I can get the grill far higher than it’s rated for and this has worked great for when I want high heat

I have a Bull. I'm happy with it, more importantly the wife is happy.

Many grills will outperform your abilities. Go with a brand having the features you get favorable reviews from the OB with a good price from your preferred dealer. You'll have many enjoyable days holding a white can while grilling dinner.

My grill has an infrared burner on the back wall for the rotisserie. The grill does a great job on a roast on the rotisserie and with baby back ribs on the grill. I bought it after Katrina and it is still doing a great job.

There are multiple grades of stainless steel. A magnet will stick to to lower grades.

I have the weber spirit, it's solid, but the genesis series is better. It depends on your budget.

Following since I’m in the same boat right now. Trying to decide between gas or pellet. If gas then is it worth extra money for natural gas versus propane. I already have a stub out from when we built. Would just have to hook it up.

Yes.

Fast and easy like a gas, flavor of a charcoal. Best thing I ever bought.

I have the Weber Genesis natural gas grill and I love it. No more worry about tanks and god forbid a hurricane comes no worries about fuel.
I bought mine at Lowes when the did the Labor day 50% off deal. Not sure if they do that anymore...

I don’t suppose you are in the area of Jackson, MS? I’ve got a Weber Genesis that I’m currently trying to sell.

I have a Weber Spirit that hasn't been used in 3 years, since I got an Egg. It's a fine grill, just as easy to cook on the Egg though, and better results.

I just got a broil king last year per recommendation of this website.

Made in Canada. Equivalent to Weber.

Don’t buy it from Goedekers though.

I am still pissed about their customer service

Grill is great, though.

See if you can . Get one on the floor of depot or Lowe’s. Cheaper and usually pre assembled.

Big thick gas tubes.

It’s a Genesis II E-310. I bought it in the summer of 2018. I haven’t used it very much, just selling it because I want to buy a pellet grill, and don’t want two grills crowding my patio. It’s in great shape, other than the igniter on the far left burner being somewhat inconsistent(it’s been like that since I bought it), but I use that side for warming anyway. I have it on FB marketplace for $450, lowest I’d probably be willing to go is $400. I’ll send the grill cover and a propane tank with it. I certainly understand that it’s not the deal of the century, but it’s a fair deal for someone who may not want to pay full price for a brand new grill. If you give me an email address, I’ll send you some pics (if you want them)

I also recommend the Weber Genesis II E-310. I’ve had it since last fall. It has worked great, is easy to clean, gets hot and holds consistent heat.

I don’t recommend a Char Broil Tru Infrared. That was my last grill. It was very difficult to clean and had hot and cold spots all over the grill surface. It rusted apart after 5 years, even though it was always covered and/or under a covered area.

Weber or a Broil King. They are worh the extra money. Also get a cover when you buy the grill.

This site has reviews of a lot of grills and smokers: https://amazingribs.com/ratings-reviews/grill-and-smoker-reviews

Retailers will usually start having good sales on their grills around the end of August.
