Beouf WMA duck hunting,
Where were you at?
Crow field or green tree?
Those spots are a shite fest of people

Yes it was V Lake, but no one in the crew was DF.

About the same time frame. Used to hunt beouf a lot. V Lake is about 600 yards long. The atv trail comes right up to the lake and tees off left and right. The far end of the lake is over 400 yards away
Me and another guy pulled up to the lake there was a group of four or five people sitting around a fire.We go around them because that spot is a garhole and the ducks always hit the other end Why anyone would get up early and be the first one to the lake and choose that spot is beyond comprehension
We get to other end and at daylight start shooting ducks The four or five cucks in the garhole were watching us kill ducks Then every time we had a group making the final swing they would shoot one time in the air Ducks would flare
The first time we were kind of pissed. The third time it happened we got on the four wheeler and headed down to talk to the cucks. When we got there they acted cool and asked how we were. I cut him off and asked why they were trying to frick us They pretended like they weren't purposely shooting then one finally came out and said we were too close (it's well over 400 yards away) and admitted they were shooting one time to flare the ducks I was fighting mad. That's about the most pissed I've ever been
while hunting
Lots of similarities to the above story maybe it's just coincidence?

The only time I can force myself to hunt public anymore is when the dump side of Sage is flooded or there are ducks in Overflow. Those 2 are both flooded greentrees and it's pretty much impossible to set up right on top of another group if you run a boat with an outboard.

Y’all should meet at the sonic and settle this once and for all.

Yep...just like you're not supposed to be in the woods before 4am yet right after midnight, dudes are already in boats at their spot.

Don't get me wrong, I will hunt public land if I lose my lease or whatever, but it sounds like a diaster TBH.
I would like to learn more about it. Like, can you setup a hanging stand, have to be so many yards from other people etc?

Not aware of a distance rule but on WMA’s you can hang a stand but no nails or screws into trees and if you plan to leave the stand in the woods, it has to be removed from tree and placed flat on the ground with a tag with your info on it.

happened to me once with a squirrel hunter on an empty wma. he parked 10 yards from my car and sat down to hunt the same oak as me after I had waved him off. he made eye contact with me so it wasn't like he didn't know i was there.

Squirrel hunting on TRNWR in Madison Parish next to my friends field. Walked from the camp, first guy in the woods. Just after daylight along comes doofus with a 6 year old in tow.
Asks me where I was hunting and who owned the property next door. I told him I was hunting the edge until my friends field ended and then I was going on his.
I suggested he move over a ways and he pops off Public land I hunt where I want to then goes off about 40 yards over.
He is on Tensas Refuge and Big Lake WMA is around the corner and ole boy insists on hunting there right beside me. Fine example for the youngun.

I wish the NWR permit was $200.

"but i had that spot in mind a week ago and been huntin there for 10 years"
had some locals at west bay try to run me out of a spot because they had hunted it for years

This is why I stopped hunting Saline.

It can be frustrating. I understand that you're gonna get messed up on busy weekends. When it is a tuesday morning during bow season and there are 2 trucks on a 60,000 acre WMA there is no reason to park behind somebody and go in there.

buddies and I went up (I think green bayou) behind a bean field one morning when it was 8 degrees. We had a burlap blind on the boat and killed about 75 ducks. After we smoked five J's and busted the limit we just shot everything.
Rolled them up in the burlap and let it freeze, hung a limit of greenheads on the boat and rolled out like a boss
hunters like you ruin it for everybody else

I hope LDWF sees this, figures out who you are, and harasses you for even posting some dumb shite like that, true or not.
