Just remember you don’t need to shoot subs out of a pistol.

I dont want to use a red dot. Its going to get used in sub zero temps and I dont trust them for that. I want iron sights, tall enough for a dead air mask

Looking hard at For System Pluto or Pluto micro. Can't decide between the two.

Whatever you decide to get, get it. I wish I had gotten a .22 suppressor a very long time ago. People debate about whether supressors for supersonic calibers are worth it, but NOBODY ever debates that .22 suppressors are awesome.

I put my money on a Ruger 22/45. The suppressor is a SilencerCo Spectre 2, but it was discontinued. Now the Ruger has a SilencerCo Sparrow on. All hi-velocity 22 LR ammo comes out of the short barrel at subsonic velocities. In my gun, subsonic ammo is a little more quiet the hi-velocity ammo. My Ruger is fed CCI Subsonic HP's. Keep us updated.

The Ruger MK4 is a great gun.
Until you break it down and can't put it back together.

I have a P17 and it's been pretty damn reliable. The sights are ok. The gun is really light so I like it for my pond fishing pistol in my shoulder strapped tackle box rig.
ETA: I don't shoot mine with a suppressor however.

As long as the sight is at least ~1.1" over the bore it should work

I have:
Rugar SR22 - 22LR 10rd magazine
KelTec PMR30 22WMR 30 magazine
Not sure if these will work for you but I have zero complaints.

The mk4 is extremely easy to reassemble.
The mk1 and mk2s i have are a pain but after doing a few times back to back they became manageable

700 fps loads
The .22lr subsonic loads may cause cycling problems. At least for me. Doesn't matter so much for plinking, but in a more serious situation, I wouldn't want those.

Find an older standard Ruger, 60-70s, and it’ll be accurate and always cycle.
