I agree a lpvo is all you need.

I have used ryobi for 10 hrs or so. I have the 18 and 40 volt tools. I will say that I have not had good luck with the 40 volt batteries lasting that long. At most 3 yrs. I do not rapid charge my batteries either. Make sure you keep your receipts

Here in Houston the people I know that put their plumerias in the ground also dig them up for the cold months

That's still a long drive. I'd say 30-40 min on wknds. So add work traffic and that would make a long drive.

Your ear has some barotrauma issues. If you have or can borrow an otoscope. Look inside your ear canal and see if its inflamed and if the ear drum has fluid behind it. Or go to an ENT

I use Bifen for insects in the yard. What ever you decide to use read the label on the bottle. It will usually tell you how long it has to be to harvest fruit/vegetables after spraying. IIRC
