The owl is free. He didn't seem to appreciate my sacrifice or efforts but he'll live to see another day

He kept popping his beak at me and I admit. I was intimidated. Every time I'd pull slack in the string and he'd get on the ground he'd try to come at me. Used my hunters orange vest to put over his head to calm him down (Thanks Discovery Channel). Used another one of my shirts to wrap up them bad arse talons. Luckily he had been flailing so much that the hole where the hook went it was stretched out and I was able to work it out of his leg.
