Hope I get something early so I can go back home. Got up and really didn't want to come but couldn't pass it up. Last weekend of rifle season. Will pull out the 35 Whelen next week.

Good luck and stay safe out there.

South wind
Ladder stand on edge of swamp
30-06

Good luck guys. If the hogs are as thick in here as they say.... I didn't bring enough bullets

ETE: there are several trot lines in the woods suspended between trees and crawfish traps left over from last year. Now that its getting a little ligh I saw something moving. Looking through my scope it is either an owl or hawn hanging upside down. Appears to have gotten hung on one of the lines. About to attempt a resue but I don't have a pocket knife so this could get interesting

Good luck guys.

Area 6, makeshift ground "cover" looking down an old but hopefully well traveled shooting lane. .30-06 Rem 700. 68 degrees with a light SSE breeze.

Almost had to swim to get out here...couldn't make it to the tripod overlooking some pipeline right of ways due to the high water

Gotta love Mosquitos and wet feet in wetter boots in January
