I think that's the 3rd time since Thursday that they've run the story about her dad. We get it...she's faced some personal hardships besides the Rona in the past couple years.

She has a great shot.
But they're on some fully man-made snow that has given other disciplines issues on it (the slopestyle folks in particular). Hopefully it doesn't effect her too much.

Technically she does. The problem is the medal is based on the combined total scores from both runs. You can slip on one run and still make it. You can't bust your arse on one though.

Def look into the format. (Not just bc the American busted it) but a lot of skiers have had issues and crashed out in strange ways.
Maybe change the format on courses that are all man made snow like this vs a typical course that’s a more healthy mixture of tea snow and some artificial to 3 runs, take each person’s top 2 runs.
Would make things more exciting and more competitors “going for it” and not being as conservative

yeah, this has been the case always. It's all or nothing for skiers, which is why you rarely see the favorites win gold.

because she still has two more events. No need in risking injury on a tough course when it's impossible to medal.

How are they skying in a city with only 1" of snow annually? I guess I just cannot get over how these manufactured venues look weird with no people and no snow.
