Until I see them with a roll of duct tape down there, I will NOT believe they are "doing everything they can"

will peop0le please refer to my previous post where I said that BP knows this is going to fail and is stringing us along, giving us hope it will work, for PR purposes. (I was slammed too for saying this). First we won't know anything for 20 hours, than its 24 more hours, now its 24-48 hours. BP is a bunch of fools and we are too for listening to them.

my untrained eyes see no difference b/t today's flow and yesterdays.

Have they commented on progress in the last 1-2hrs?

Nobody is stringing you along brother. It is not and was not my intent to jump all over anyone (sometimes I get frustrated). When it become apparent that this action is not working, the next will be tried.

There are at least 2 or 3 planned each have varying degrees of risk and reward. The only (near) sure think are th erelief wells. They continue to be drilled.

i'll tell you how i would kill it. i'd take the riser off of the lmrp, exposing a 19" hole. i'd enter that hole with a bha (drill pipe with a tool on the bottom) and one of two things:

1- set a storm packer
2- start pumping mud at the same depth that they want to enter with relief wells

that's just me.

There are things that BP has done that they figured wouldn't work (such as containment box). But that doesn't mean they did it for PR purposes.

Telling the government something probably won't work doesn't cut it. You still have to do it because you have to do something. Anything.

Was thinking the same thing but what from ive heard and gathered they do not want to mess with the BOP bc it is restricting some of the flow and for potential legal reasons. It is going to be a big piece of evidence in the investigations.

Is the path from the top of the LMRP to the bottom of the BOP into the wellhead a straight line down? I would assume so but not sure. Would the upward pressure from the oil/gas flow prevent drill pipe from entering the hole?
