Zipper Merging will be the downfall of civilization

Ignorant IQ Drivers assume its a free path to pass up the line of cars sitting there for 5 minutes waiting and have AUTOMATIC right of way in front of whomever they deem necessary when it is their lane coming to an end. Your lane came to an end thus the responsibility of merging AT YOUR RISK is on YOU. Zipper merging is a suggestion, not a law or a right of way IMO. IT IS A SUGGESTION YOU DUMB frick.
Any ideas of how police would rule this if someone hits me in the side from getting over into my lane?

The government built the extra pavement for it not to be used? Stop being one of the idiots who tries to block both lanes and the merging would go much easier. Zipper Merging works if it wasn't for all the self entitled a-holes driving trucks with truck nuts.

They would tell you you’re in the wrong for not letting the zipper merge work as designed.

The LDOT does not have law, but does recommend the zipper method when traffic is backed up.

the built no extra pavement. It was always a lane ending and merge but then they throw up a zipper suggestion.
I'm not against the idea and use of the zipper but what zipper merging does not do is grant a RIGHT OF WAY for those who are ignorant and non courteous drivers. They literally think they can collide with you and be in the right cause of a zipper merge sign that they flew 40 mph up the lane at the last moment and cut you off.

Zipper merge is like socialism. On paper it makes sense and could be a good thing for all involved.

i was going to compare zipper merging to BLM. It seems like a good idea but in reality, it gives entitlement to a section of trash in society looking to hide behind excuses for their behavior.

One of the early things I noticed when moving to Germany. You are expected to go all the way to the end of lane then merge. shite works perfectly here. Seems the problem is with Americans who don't understand the concept of zipper merging.
